The Blessed
Mother exuding fragrant oil through her statue |
The overnight prayer meeting on August 6, 2011, First Saturday,
was held outside the vinyl chapel on the Blessed Mother¡¯s Mountain despite the
threat of a heavy rain and strong winds that night. The weather station had forecasted heavy
downpours and strong winds. The reason
why they could not use the vinyl chapel was that the some malicious people, who have been vehemently opposing and persecuting Naju,
had instigated (and probably bribed) some of the people living near the Blessed
Mother¡¯s Mountain to accuse Julia of using the land for religious purposes to
the City of Naju, in contradiction to the City¡¯s designation of the land as
farm area. The city officials visited
and examined the place several times.
After hearing the defense from the Naju volunteers, the city officials
said that it would be okay to continue using the land for the current
purpose.
The opponents¡¯ goal has been to put a permanent end to
the prayer meetings on the mountain, but the Naju volunteer helpers set up a
huge tent outside the vinyl chapel and rented 1,000 chairs for the pilgrims as
they could not sit on the wet ground.
Julia prayed hard, crying, that they could be spared from the forecasted
heavy rain and strong winds.
The prayer
was granted, as there only was a brief, light rain at the beginning and a cool,
pleasant breeze all night. There also
was a sweet fragrance of roses along with the breeze. If the prayer meeting were held inside the
vinyl chapel, it would have been quite warm and muggy. The pilgrims were grateful and happy beyond
description, as they again saw the work of God in a time of crisis. The opponents of the Blessed Mother of Naju
are trying hard to put an end to the supernatural revelations in Naju that had
started 26 years ago and are still continuing; but they are not winning in this
spiritual war with the Blessed Mother.
