The
Blessed Mother participates in human history as the Mother of Jesus and the
Helper to the Savior. As the new Eve, she has been deeply involved in the
salvation of the human race, sharing in the Passion of Jesus Christ, Who came
into this world to remit the sins of mankind.
Since
the Resurrection and Ascension of Jesus, the Church has grown and developed
under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and with the help of the Blessed Mother.
This will continue until the end of the world.
Through
centuries, the Blessed Mother has appeared at different places and given us the
messages of Jesus for
example, in Guadalupe, Paris, Lourdes, Fatima, Banneux,
and so on. In recent years, she has been weeping at several locations in the
world. Especially, in Naju, Korea, she has
been shedding tears and tears of blood.
In
Naju, she shed tears for the first time on June
30, 1985, using a small plaster statue 55 cm (about 22 inches) tall. This statue had been given to Julia by Rufino Park, former
catechist at a mission station, as a gift to Julia when he was miraculously
cured from bronchitis after three days of prayer with her.
Some
of the first witnesses of the Blessed Mother's tears made the following
remarks.
A
Pagan: I'd better start going to the Catholic Church. I don't think I can
continue my sinful life any longer.
A
Protestant: I made a wrong choice. I am going to convert to Catholicism.
A
Non-Practicing Catholic: Oh, my goodness! She is weeping because of me. Mother!
Please don't cry. I will start going to Church again and living according to
the Lord's Will.
A
Practicing Catholic: Forgive me, for I have been a lukewarm Catholic. Give me a
fervent faith and help me to work for the Blessed Mother. You are letting me
smell the fragrance of roses. Thank you, Mother.
Julia:
Mother! Now I can be happy, even if I have to die. For some time, many people
had doubts about your tears, but, now, many are repenting and returning. Thank
you. (There were about 2,000 people attending the prayer service today.)From Julia's
diary, July 17, 1985.
Until
January 14, 1992, the Blessed
Mother has shed tears and/or tears of blood for a total of 700 days. In my
case, I had heard about the weeping statue of the Blessed Mother, but had not
been very interested. I visited the Chapel in Naju twice, but didn't experience
anything special. But, when I came to the Chapel for the third time on May 23, 1991, I had an urge to pray
as follows," Mother! My faith is weak. Open my hardened heart and guide me so that
I may love and respect you more.? Then, I approached the statue and saw the Blessed Mother's eyes
starting to sparkle with tears. I rubbed my eyes to make sure that I was not
dreaming. But they were really tears. I began crying loudly and begged for her
forgiveness. Julia held my hands and prayed for me. Since then, I have visited
the Chapel frequently and have had spiritual experiences.
Why is the Blessed Mother weeping? You will find
the answer, when you read her messages. She says the messages are more
important than the tears. The following is a summary of the major messages.
- Pray the Rosary fervently for world peace and the
conversion of sinners.
- Pray and do penance for the babies who are being
aborted and for their parents.
- Pray constantly for priests
- Families are suffering. Love one another and strive
for the sanctification of families.
- There are too many who receive Holy Communion
sacrilegiously. Teach them the importance of the Holy Eucharist and Confession.
Make frequent visits to the Blessed Sacrament and console me.
- Observe the First Saturdays for the consecration to
the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Holy Hours every Thursday for the
consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in reparation for the sins of the
world.
- Make a habit of praying all the time. Live a consecrated
life with sacrifices, reparation, self-denial, poverty and self-renunciation.
- Hold my hands. I am the string connecting Heaven
and earth. Come aboard Mary's Ark of Salvation and sail to Heaven.
- Build the Basilica of Mary’s Ark of Salvation so that
all may be saved.
- The souls who accept my words will be changed and
reborn by my messages.
The Blessed Mother has clearly emphasized that her
messages are not just for Korea
but for the whole world. She promises that we will be saved, if we put her messages
into practice.
Julia, who receives the Blessed Mother's messages,
is also experiencing terrible pains. These include the pains of the babies
being aborted, crucifixion, arrows penetrating the heart, leg-screw tortures,
and pouring sewage water and human excrements into the mouth. Sometimes when
she experiences the pains of the Crucifixion, the five wounds of Jesus appear
on her. Frequently, I have witnessed her praying for people in pains and
receiving the same pains in their place. It is said that sufferings are a
mystery. To Julia, they are love.
I sincerely hope that the Blessed Mother's messages
will be approved by the Church soon, as she wishes, and that they are made
known all over the world so that all will be able to avoid condemnation and falling
into hell. In the name of the Blessed Mother, I would like to sincerely thank
Sang M. Lee, who translated the Blessed Mother's precious messages into English
and Sister Mary Noreen, S.C., who did the proofreading.
