The Way of Love for the Lord
(Julia Kim's intimate Conversations with Our Lord by His Guidance)

Chapter  25.  “I will reap what I sow.” (February 8, 1982)

On that same afternoon, I was supposed to go to Yeongam for the seminar together with some volunteers from Gwangju. As their bus departing from Gwangju would go to Yeongam via Naju, I wanted to join them in Naju bus terminal. But Mr. Paul Lee, president of the charismatic movement in Gwangju, called me to join them in Gwangju bus terminal. I agreed to do so in the spirit of obedience. While going to Gwangju by bus, I experienced pain all the way, which made the trip extremely hard for me.

After getting off the bus at Gwangju bus terminal, I lied on a long bench in the bus terminal, waiting for them. Even when all the volunteers gathered together, I just could not get up. Mr. Paul Lee was worried about my health and tried to dissuade me from attending the seminar. “Julia, I will take charge of your team in your place. I think it would be better for you not to go there.” I shook my head. “President, I will reap what I sow. Please help me.” He said, “Okay, I will. Who in the world can stop Julia from offering her sacrifice and love? You would do it even if you were dying.” He helped me to get on the bus headed for Yeongam.

I sat alone on the bus, while the rest of the four volunteers who were going together with me sat in pairs behind and in front of me respectively. Soon, one man got on the bus and sat right next to me. My pain subsided just in time and I could speak. Those who were behind me whispered, “Now Julia begins to make the Lord known.” While conversing with him all the way from Gwangju to our destination Yeongam, I came to know that he was a lapsed Catholic. During our conversation, he slowly opened his heart and promised to go to church again. He even promised me that he would attend the charismatic seminar that evening.

He told me that as he was hurt by several laypersons in the church, hatred and anger had sprouted in his heart, and he had gone so far as to adopt a distorted view of the Holy Catholic Church with his heart totally closed. I continued to make known to him the love of the Lord and the Blessed Mother, which is so high, deep and wide, and told him a story about the love earned through forgiveness and reconciliation.

He said, “It is a wonder that there is a layperson like you.” I replied, “I am a mere unworthy sinner used just for a short time.” He added, “I will really go to church again. The Lord has sent you here today for my sake.” Then, those behind me said, “Now Julia regained vitality while making the Lord’s words known.” Indeed, the pain was gone before I knew it. And I found myself speaking with a beaming face. When we arrived in Yeongam, he promised to join us at the church in the evening. He really kept his promise. He came to church, listened to the sermon, and attended the seminar.

“My Love, my Lord! Thank You for all the grace that You bestowed on us today. As You called him here through me, an unworthy sinner, let Your plan be accomplished through him. May You receive glory from him!”

“Yes, My beloved little soul! You are longing to enlighten many people by making My profound love and truth known to them, so that they can be freed from the chains of sin. That is why the devils tried to weaken your free will so that you could not move an inch. I am much pleased because you saved one soul by gaining victory over them today as always. Therefore, be wide awake and display the power of love.”
