The Way of Love for the Lord Chapter 43. The grace from a general confession (July 25, 1982)
She came to me again the following afternoon and passed a thick envelope to me. She said, “Inside this, I honestly wrote down all the sins that I‘d committed during my lifetime from my childhood in order to make a new start today following your words. I've just made a general confession. I tried to write down all the sins that I remember committing but I am still worried that there might be some sins that I omitted unknowingly.” While burning the envelope, I prayed that the Lord who can count all our hairs might burn all her sins away, make her family’s hearts burn with the flames of the Holy Spirit and help them lead a new life of resurrection by forming a holy family. “Jesus! Just as You totally entrusted Yourself to God the Father, I entrust to You this lady’s family who are messed up with wounds. Set a fire in them with the flames of the Holy Spirit by rekindling their flickering fire of love, and embrace them in Your Bosom just as the hen gathers her chicks under her wings, so that they can love each other by opening their closed hearts wide with generous love. O my Lord! Grant the plea of this lady who acknowledges her faults and who has asked for Your forgiveness. Let her family build their house on the rock by becoming a holy family. I believe that Your promise: ‘Ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; and knock and it will be opened to you.’ will be fully realized in her family.” “My little soul who longs to give love! You've led her to repentance so that she might practice the words that I cried out: ‘If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.’ By following your advice, she has accepted everything as her fault, not her husband’s, and she repented. How could I just watch this? She has already been forgiven.”
