Twelfth Station: Let us
meditate on Jesus dying on the Cross.
We adore You, O Christ, and we praise You.
Because by Your holy cross, You have redeemed
the world.
Most beloved Lord, You have
become the Sacrificial Victim by offering up Your whole Body for the salvation
of the human race!
The Lord, Who was innocent,
forgave those who were killing Him by praying, "Father, forgive them,
for they know not what they do." (Luke 23:34)
We have wounded our neighbors
and also have been wounded by them because of jealousy and envy, hatred and
reproaches, feeling of being betrayed and anger, misunderstandings and hardened
resentments, and sometimes unavoidable circumstances. Let us deeply
meditate on the Love of the Lord Who forgave even those who were killing
Him. Have mercy on us so that we may repent all the sins we have
committed until now and forgive and love even our enemies.
When one of the robbers
condemned to death and hung on a cross on the right side of the Lord implored
the Lord, filled with trust in Him, "Lord, remember me when thou shalt
come into thy kingdom," the Lord saw his truly repentant eyes and
said, "Amen I say to thee, this day thou shalt be with me in paradise."
(Luke 23:42-43)
Even when we feel that we are
so incapable of doing anything and so unworthy and when we are so frustrated
and depressed that we even wish to drown ourselves, help us totally repent our
sins, implore the Lord, filled with trust in Him like the good robber, become
little souls in simple ways according to the Will of the Lord and the Blessed
Mother, and enter Heaven on the last day through the Lord's sublimest love with
which He shed His Blood and water to the last drop while He was nailed to the
Cross for three hours in the midst of the humiliation of receiving all kinds of
hatred and insults, and through the merits that He earned when His side was
penetrated by a spear and His Heart was pierced by it. (Meditate for a
while.)
"My beloved little
souls! The humiliation that My Human Nature suffered while I was nailed
to the Cross and was dying miserably in extreme pains was truly tragic.
However, it was not really a shame or humiliation but God's infinite love for
the purpose of saving the human race." (The Lord's message on
August 5, 1986, from Julia's diary) We will always remember these words
of the Lord, become little souls who do penance for the insults given to the
Lord and console the Blessed Mother, and more gracefully offer up our whole
lives by converting them into prayers.
Amen.
Our Father, Hail Mary, and
Glory be.
Mother, we ask you to engrave
the Lord's Wounds deeply into our hearts.
