Second Station: Let us meditate on Jesus carrying the Cross.
We adore You, O Christ, and we praise You.
Because by Your holy cross, You have redeemed
the world.
The Lord of Love, Who willingly carried the Cross to save the whole human race!
Because the Lord was condemned like a criminal and carried the Cross in order to save the human race, the Blessed Mother said in Naju, "Except through the Cross, you cannot attain sanctity" (November 26, 1989). But we have frequently tried not to carry the cross caused not by others but by our own sins, complaining even about little pains like headaches, bruises, and scratches, and trying to lay down the cross. That is why Jesus continues suffering pains under the heavy Cross even at this moment.
Help us to deeply repent of our sins and mistakes, not to refuse the cross given to us, and to draw closer to the Lord through the Blessed Mother, looking at Jesus Who is climbing Golgotha Hill carrying the heavy Cross, dragging His Body covered with wounds caused by the crown of thorns and scourging, and receiving ridicules and scorns by the crowd. (Meditate for a while.)
